SPR’s Dan Riesel Publishes 57th Update to His Treatise, Environmental Enforcement: Civil and Criminal
Environmental Enforcement: Civil and Criminal, the leading text on environmental enforcement, has recently been updated for the 57th time. The book, first written in 1997 by SPR co-founder Dan Riesel, has been consistently updated by the firm’s lawyers, reflecting the firm’s extensive environmental law practice. For this recent edition, Meg Holden, Alexis Saba, Dane Warren, Ahlia Bethea, Claire McNulty, and Michael Hannaman were contributing researchers and writers, with Kayley McGrath as editor.
The 57th release of Environmental Enforcement: Civil and Criminal details significant recent developments in environmental enforcement. The update features an examination of the recent U.S. Supreme Court case Trump v. CASA, Inc., analyzing the scope of nationwide injunctions particularly in the context of National Environmental Policy Act violations, as well as the U.S. EPA’s proposed rescission of the 2009 Greenhouse Gas Endangerment Finding and new case law on establishing standing as an environmental plaintiff.
The updated book can be obtained in print, online, and eBook digital formats here.
