SPR Applauds Announcement of Fordham Landing South Affordable Housing Development

On August 8, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that the city will move forward with “Fordham Landing South,” a transformative affordable housing development along the Bronx waterfront that will create more than 900 affordable homes for New Yorkers.

Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by Dynamic Star and Lettire Construction, the project will deliver approximately 927 affordable homes, a public waterfront space, parking, and convenient access to the Metro-North rail system. All units will be 100 percent affordable, and at least 15 percent will be reserved for formerly homeless families. The project site is located just south of the University Heights Bridge.

SPR is proud to be part of the team supporting this project. SPR Principals David Yudelson and Jennifer Coghlan are advising as to state and federal permitting, as well as compliance with the requirements of the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program.

We congratulate all project partners on this exciting step toward delivering affordable housing to New York City residents.
