“New York’s Transmission Reform in a Shifting Federal Energy Landscape” Published in NY Environmental Lawyer

SPR Attorneys Meg Holden and Michael Hannaman recently published “New York’s Transmission Reform in a Shifting Federal Energy Landscape” in The New York Environmental Lawyer (Vol 45 No. 3).

In their article, Meg and Michael explore how New York is pushing ahead on transmission reform to meet its climate goals despite federal rollbacks on renewable energy. Through the RAPID Act and NYISO planning processes, the state is streamlining siting and permitting, and addressing interconnection backlogs, steps that aim to unlock renewable generation and maintain reliability, even in the face of diminished federal incentives.
