Cybersecurity Considerations While Working Remotely in the Wake of the Coronavirus

For those working from home during the coronavirus epidemic, there are important cybersecurity considerations to remember. SPR Principal Pamela Esterman is Chair of the Committee on Ethics for the American Bar Association’s Section on Environment, Energy and Resources. On March 26, 2020, Pam and other Committee members published an article about cybersecurity considerations for lawyers working from home, although the tips are helpful for anyone working remotely, including consultants.  The article summarizes the relevant ethics standards from the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and provides important practice pointers, such as ensuring that proper security measures are in place on all devices.
