SPR Congratulates the Hudson River Park Trust on the Opening of Gansevoort Peninsula, Manhattan’s First Public Beachfront

On Monday, Governor Hochul, Mayor Eric Adams, and the Hudson River Park Trust celebrated the opening and new addition of Gansevoort Peninsula to Hudson River Park. The $73 million project features a 5.5-acre beachfront oasis with breathtaking views, new playing fields, lounging space, kayaking/small boat water access, picnic areas, and promenades/boardwalks. SPR represented Hudson River Park Trust in securing the approvals for this project, consistent with its serving as environmental counsel to the Trust since its inception 25 years ago. SPR congratulates the Hudson River Park Trust for this notable accomplishment and looks forward to assisting the Trust in its future endeavors.
