Michael’s practice focuses on renewable energy and infrastructure project finance, development, and mergers and acquisitions. Michael’s experience includes negotiation of project-level and holding company credit agreements; engineering, procurement and construction contracts and supply contracts; and tax-equity financing. He has advised project developers and sponsors on the development and financing of over a gigawatt of renewable and conventional energy projects.
Michael has significant experience representing sponsors in the negotiation and drafting of transportation infrastructure concession agreements and related financing documents, including pass through financings utilizing private activity bonds; Transportation Infrastructure Financing and Innovation Act loans obtained through the Department of Transportation; and Department of Energy guaranteed loans. Michael also has experience representing public agencies and economic development corporations on transportation infrastructure development projects.
Prior to joining SPR in 2020, Michael worked in the Energy and Infrastructure group at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. During his seven years at Orrick, Michael’s practice focused on advising project developers, sponsors, and private equity on a wide range of matters in the energy and transportation infrastructure industries.
Michael is a graduate of New York University School of Law and the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
